Prayer Ministry Director

 

Dotti Cummins, wife of founding Senior Pastor, Bill, has been teaching about prayer since she was a young pastor's wife.  Her 13 week in-depth prayer class, Touching God in Prayer, has reached thousands of men and women with the message of prayer.  This teaching came out of a 2 year encounter with Jesus that changed her life and became the substance of her life's call.  Her greatest joy is to see prayer become part of the fiber and core of the people of Bear Creek Church. 

 

She also birthed a Prayer and Healing Ministry in 2011.  This ministry has touched hundreds of men, women, children and young people in the church as well as across the State.  It also goes weekly into Lodi Memorial Hospital, bringing God's healing touch to those who are sick.

 

Monthly church-wide prayer gatherings, First Friday Prayer Gatherings, were begun in 2013. These were prompted by God's call to gather the whole family of God together on a regular basis.  Powerful nights of praise and worship and prayer have resulted.

 

Dotti is a gifted musician, with a bachelors degree in music from Northwestern University and a masters degree in piano performance from the Juilliard School of Music.  She has taught on the college level for many years throughout her life.  But, her most important role was the raising of 3 Godly sons.  And she is grateful to God for their amazing wives and eight beautiful grandchildren.
