More Information

Bill Cummins

Senior/Founding Pastor

Pastor Bill has a unique teaching style that combines humor and truth with compelling insights into God's Word.  His practical Sunday messages motivate listeners to follow God's "how to do life" book, the Bible. Lessons are learned that apply to everyday life.

Pastor Bill is also heavily involved in our community.  He currently

sits on the Board of Directors of Lodi Memorial Hospital and is Chaplain for the Lodi Police Department. For 8 years he served on the Lodi Planning Commission and he has been the past board president of United Cerebral Palsy.  He also has been a member of the Stockton YMCA board and the board of the Lodi Boys and Girls Club.

Pastor Bill encountered Jesus as his Savior when he was 17.  While in college, he spent one summer living with an Indian tribe, in the Amazon River region of Brazil.  After college graduation, he spent that summer with 40 guys, riding bicycles from Miami to Seattle, sharing God's love along the way.  He has ministered in India, Poland, Japan, China, Korea, Jamaica and throughout Central America.  A life long goal was realized when he and Bear Creek Church established our sister church in Sonsonate, El Salvador in 2010.

Pastor Bill received his Bachelors Degree from Taylor University and his Masters Degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. He pastored in Michigan and planted churches in India before founding Bear Creek Community Church in 1989.

Pastor Bill is married to Dotti who has been his partner in ministry throughout their marriage.  They have 3 grown sons who serve the Lord and eight grandchildren.
